Disney's Billion Dollar Strategy

05:35
Disney applies an important business strategy for generating multi-million dollar blockbusters. For a more detailed explanation of the business strategies examined in this episode, visit https://everydaysaleshq.com/sales-in-cinema/episode-4-disney-upcycle/ Disney is among the oldest entertainment companies in the world. They have mastered the art of creating comfort and nostalgia while retaining freshness and innovation. Part of their strategy is to reapply and redistribute effective and well received content across multiple productions. While it’s fairly well known that when Disney cartoons were hand drawn, many original segments were recycled to save time, Disney evolved the concept to apply to more than just cell frames. They apply a business strategy that integrates prior successful work into a new setting. Iteration Upcycle – Blending familiar past experiences audiences tend to favor with a new context. We all utilize systems in our professional lives. Applying the iteration upcycle forces you to closely examine your methods of productivity. After identifying the most effective elements of your process, it is essential to analyze why these elements were effective, allowing you to improve upon them and apply them in different areas of your business. Keep experimenting with the least effective elements of your system and repeat until you have a well oiled operation. Disney uses an iteration upcycle formula by analyzing their past work, taking the bits that have a high impact on their audience, and refashioning them for future use. There are three main frameworks in this process: Familiar Framing – Using subtle elements of a familiar experience that has been well received in the past. By creating an experience that is subtly familiar you develop comfort with your target group. The feeling of comfort is a signal of trust which is essential for creating a strong brand. Recycled Content – Re-using the same successful format, gag, or concept through a new presentation. Recycling your content to create a fresh user experience saves time and money. Whether you’re introducing a new product or service, launching a marketing campaign, or approaching a different segment, you want to examine the effective elements of your existing work and recycle them to create a prototype with the highest potential for success. The most important lesson here is not just about repurposing past works for future ventures. Reusing works and applying the same standards leaves your audience with a watered down experience. The magic of Disney is that they twist their recycled content to the point where it feels almost entirely new. Surprise Subversion – Breaking the format of recycled content to disrupt expectations. Adding a new kink into the experience is the best way to establish yourself as remarkable. When a process becomes the new normal, breaking expectations creates innovative enjoyment from worn out content. Using these tactics, you can design a stronger presentation, improve your client experience, or refresh your employee onboarding process. Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Strategy 'Turn Sideways Into The Light And Disappear'

26:02
Mark Smith shares a crafty strategy for transcending further narcissistic abuse by sharing a David Whyte poem about "turning sideways into the light and disappearing". TOBAR PHADRAIC - David Whyte Turn sideways into the light as they say the old ones did and disappear into the originality of it all. Be impatient with easy explanations and teach that part of the mind that wants to know everything not to begin questions it cannot answer. For now, you are alone with the transfiguration and ask no healing for your own but look down as if looking through time, as if through a rent veil from the other side of the question you’ve refused to ask. And you remember now, that clear stream of generosity from which you drank, how as a child your arms could rise and your palms turn out to take the blessing of the world. Turn sideways into the light as they say the old ones did and disappear into the originality of it all. TOBAR PHADRAIC In RIVER FLOW: New and Selected Poems © David Whyte and Many Rivers Press Marguerite Theophil - Speaking Tree The instinctual response in us humans, in the face of stressful, conflict situations is to fight, flee -- or simply freeze. The poet David Whyte offers another challenging option, that of ‘turning sideways into the light.’ Whyte shares the myth of the Tuatha De Danann, a mythical race from Ireland's past, a mystical people devoted to beauty and artistry; wise and influential elders. The little people, leprechauns. When another rougher and more brutal people, the Milesians invaded the country, the Tuatha De Danann bravely fought them off in two battles, but then came a third, decisive battle with the odds stacked overwhelmingly against them. So, lined up in battle formation and facing almost certain defeat, instead of drawing swords and rushing into battle, the wise-ones, as a group, simply turned sideways and as legend has it, ‘disappeared into the light.’ Turning sideways into the light can be seen as acknowledging that some encounters are damaging to all involved: no one can win. There may emerge a ‘winner’ or ‘winning side’, but the true result, when we come to our senses and assess the damage, is loss all around that may take years or centuries to heal. To conventional thinking it sounds too much like defeat or giving up. But in reality, it is neither retreat nor cowardice -- rather, it is an intentional strategy to change the ground rules. Essentially, to turn sideways into the light is to reject the conventions of conflict as laid out by your antagonist, and choose another path which will extend, rather than diminish your integrity. It’s a difficult choice under any circumstances; almost impossible in conflict situations. What it involves is the tough choice to ascend – in the midst of chaos and confusing emotions -- to a higher dimension of functioning. In India we have the example of Gandhi, and the world has given us others like Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela who demonstrated this strategy at different times. But for most of the rest of us, we are so programmed to either/or options of submission or aggression. And even if some of us have learnt a third way, assertiveness, ‘turning sideways’ is a whole different approach. Some conflicts obviously, undoubtedly, must be confronted and dealt with. But not all. And that’s a well-kept secret! It is the unnecessary ones which are most debilitating, as they sap our energy and life-force, whenever we ignore our capacity for the judicious use of wisdom and power. I like to visualize conflict as taking place along a pathway that takes us to our highest goal. Besides this path is a dim, mist-shrouded path at a right angle to the one we are on, yet going to the same place; one that you can, with one sideways step, get onto and turn and move ahead with life. However, when we get so enmeshed in the fight, this way is invisible to us; we just don’t see it, we hurtle on, and we often waste precious energy by not just stepping away from the ‘contaminated’ path. Consider David Whyte’s opening lines of his poem ‘Tobar Phadraic’: “Turn sideways into the light as they say the old ones did ... and disappear into the originality of it all.” This phrase, ‘the originality of it all’ suggests to me that place behind a mostly-hidden door, one we all have access to – though with some of us, the key to that door is temporarily misplaced – that place within each of us of wisdom, compassion and enlightened power. http://www.brand-kickstarter.co.uk | Subscribe To This Channel To Receive Our Regular Brand Strategy, Branding, Marketing & Business Growth Tips :) Hello and welcome to Brand Brain, your monthly online business growth and brand strategy resource, jam packed full of the very latest tools, techniques, ideas and inspiration to take you from zero visibility to magnetic credibility. So let me ask you a question... What is it that you really want to get out of building your brand strategy? And how do you know that the marketing you are doing to build your brand is right for your business? After all, you aren't building a business just so it can run your life are you? Although, it may feel like that sometimes! I'm guessing that you are building a business to give you and your family the lifestyle you want to live, right? I'm also guessing that the reason you are here is because you want more customers and you want to know the quickest, easiest, cheapest way to get them, yes or no? You know that marketing is important to your business, but things are changing so fast now that marketing isn't what it used to be. So... where is the best place to start? What marketing activities should you really focus on first to get what you really want out of your business? And how will you know if what you are doing is really working? How do you know whether you are wasting money on the marketing you are doing? And how can you really be sure that the time and money you are spending on marketing is going to make a genuine difference to your life and business - and I don't just mean in a financial way as it is important that your business allows you the time freedom to enjoy what you earn too. As I briefly mentioned a few moments ago, the internet is moving so fast with its latest inventions, updates, additions and social media channels... that people's buying behaviour now is very different to the way they made purchases last year... let alone 5 or even 10 years ago. With so many interruptions competing for your attention every minute of every day, the way your customers are searching for and buying what you have to offer now is constantly evolving - as are their expectations of you along with it! It used to take on average 7-10 interactions with a prospect in face to face meetings and phone calls to convert a prospect into a customer. Now you can go from being a complete stranger to a lifetime customer within 3 or 4 clicks when you do it right! The point is that marketing is changing. What used to work really well, may now only get you a mediocre result at best. Marketing your business can be a minefield if you aren't up to date on what is working now. So how can you keep up with what is working when things are changing so quickly? Wine Marketing Strategy | Content Marketing Plan For Wine Brands

02:46
Wine Marketing Strategy | Content Marketing Plan for Wine Brands Buy my book today! http://bit.ly/bestbrandingbook Contact me: http://www.edwindearborn.com/contact/ Connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/edwindearborn/ One of the most powerful methods to forward your wine marketing strategy is the use of modern inbound marketing. Factually any wine brand can take advantage of it with minimal investment. How much does it cost to place an ad in Wine Enthusiast, versus creating content and distributing it through your email and social media? The only time involved with the latter is the man hours, but once created, those networks will remain in place for a long time. And according to a recent Hubspot report that surveyed 900+ professionals, 89% of businesses are either maintaining or increasing their inbound marketing budgets. What you can do to better market and sell wine: 1. Use video as branded content to forward your wine marketing strategy. Branded content, such as video presentations, insight into how to pair wine with food, interviews with wine experts, and showcasing popular vineyards, are just some of the ideas of promoting wise through content and social media. 2. Blog more. If your winery had a special event, write a quick paragraph that covers it. Got sheep grazing in the spring vineyards? Explain how it’s part of you practice and post pictures of the baby sheep. Everyone loves baby animal pics. Is there an exciting new variety being released? Interview the winemaker, and express his passion for it. 3. Use paid social media advertising, such as Facebook. Don’t simply post links to your bottles of wine for sale. In fact, promoting your product on the social network should be a low priority. Use them to listen to your customers, and interact with them. Show them there’s a face behind the company. This fosters trust and increased loyalty. Post a picture of your last wine club event and tag your wine club members. Their friends and family will see that, and it furthers your brand recognition. 4. Monitor your brand. You have a world of wine bloggers, forums, and niche social communities talking about your brand. Visit their site, and comment on their review. Join the forum and do the same.

Branding is a Key Business Strategy for Farmers

Building trust is important in business. iDE helped farmers bring an entirely new crop, the sweet melon, to market in Cambodia. To do so, they also helped farmers utilize a common business strategy that hadn’t been used in fruit farming previously in Cambodia, product branding. The result: Cambodian consumers have learned to trust their local farmers. Sweet melon is a new, nutritious product available to Cambodian families and a new, profitable crop for farmers. The Cambodia Agribusiness Development Facility is funded by the New Zealand Aid Programme and implemented by iDE with partner Plant & Food Research. Starbucks Retail Branding & Packaging Strategy

01:26
Starbucks are a mega force in the coffee world, having well over 11,500 shops worldwide. Their logo has become cemented into the modern high street- with multiple shops readily available in major cities such as London, Paris and New York. Although Starbucks clearly are the biggest grossing company in the restaurant sector of the coffee industry, they were missing a huge market in retail. With brands such as Nescafe and Kenco having the edge over Starbucks with their standard filtered coffee stacking the shelves of Tesco, Morrsions, Asda and Lidl. Starbucks decided to branch out to compete with these companies. Although they seeked help in doing so. That’s when they began their work with London’s famous Pearlfisher branding agency. Pearlfisher have previously worked with a number of easily recognisable and everyday brands, including the likes of Havana Club, Jim Beam, Cadbury and Innocent among more. What do the brands have in common on Pearlfishers roster? They are all trusted and therefor have become leaders in their market. In order to retrieve this trust you have to form a relationship with the customer over a period of time. For example Coca Cola are a company who have managed to gain a huge level of trust that they are in fact the company with the best Cola product in the world. They have done this by major investment into advertisements and celebrity endorsement. Even coming up with the idea of incorporating Santa Claus into their advertising, which stimulates the idea that Coca Cola is a trusted family brand. Having this sort of development into the image of the company will help them in sales opportunities, e.g. if an individual was told to pick up fizzy drinks when at the supermarket, when deciding what product to choose, it’s highly likely that the individual will gravitate towards Coca Cola, due to the trust that they see in the brand; “Millions of people can’t be wrong.” As you can see in the slideshow, Pearlfisher have chosen easy on the eye colours, nothing too bold to give Starbucks a classy natural look on the shelves. Opting to dedicate all your products to these particular colour pallets will over time give Starbucks a recognisable appearance to customers and leads – Due to the development and exposure of the Starbucks logo, Pearlfisher have decided to make the logo on the products stand out bold. Marketing Minute 035: “Holiday Marketing” (Marketing Strategy / Brand Value)

01:13
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa or none of these at all, you’ve most likely been exposed to a great deal of holiday-related marketing and promotion during the holiday season. Why is holiday-related marketing such an important part of the retail marketing world? First, because a very large proportion of retail sales (up to 60% or higher in some industries) comes from a relatively small 6- to 7-week window, retailers can focus their intense marketing efforts into a short time period rather than have that same intensity all year long. Second, the holiday marketplace encourages consumers to spend more time and effort on search activities, which allows for new brands to be “found” by those who are seeking. Finally, the intensified competitive environment often provides more selection, as well as lower prices, for buyers. So during the holidays… Event-specific marketing allows focus, efficiencies of scale, and enhanced consumer search, all of which can create more value for both brands and their customers. **Be sure to subscribe to my channel so that you don't miss any future episodes of Monday's Marketing Minute. **Also, connect with me on any of the following: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/anthonymiyazaki Twitter: https://twitter.com/sensiblefolk Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sensiblefolk/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/AnthonyMiyazaki Referenced Article: http://www.inc.com/peter-economy/science-says-this-1-linkedin-mistake-makes-millennials-look-really-unprofessiona.html

Facebook Ads Strategy with Molly Pittman

38:07
Molly Pittman shares some really common sense Facebook Ads strategies that you can apply to your business or brand. http://www.thedealerplaybook.com/95 You've probably noticed how much content we're pumping out about Facebook. That's because we've been getting a TON of questions about how to get the most out of the social network. Molly Pittman, VP of Digital Marketer, is one of the world's leading experts when it comes to Facebook ads and Facebook marketing strategy. Today, we get a Facebook Ads Tutorial from her personally. In episode 95 of The Dealer Playbook, Molly shares ideas about how you can 10x your Facebook ads ROI, ramp up your dealership business, and dominate in your market. Key Facebook Ads Tutorial Insights: Facebook ads are different than Google ads and should not be treated the same. On Google, people are searching for answers to their questions, or solutions to problems. On Facebook, people are there to connect with friends and family, or keep in touch with associates. As such, your ads need to feel like they organically fit into the news feed rather than blatantly disturbing the flow that people have come to enjoy. Deliver Value at varying stages of the buying funnel. Most dealership Facebook advertising focuses on the low funnel, ready-to-show-intent shoppers. Sadly, this is some of the most expensive advertising that can be done on PPC platforms like Google of Facebook because the competition is so high. And with every dealer pretty much broadcasting the same message, capturing the attention of qualified buyers is more difficult. But advertising to low funnel shoppers is still essential to winning business. It's just not the only advertising you should do. Molly Pittman suggests adding more strategy on-top of your existing ads for those that are higher up in the funnel. For example, produce and promote content about the best places to take your kids on a Sunday drive, or the top burger joints in town is content that is share-worthy to the majority of people. The goal is to get as many eyes on you as possible. That way, when they are ready to start car shopping, they will remember your dealership first. Social Media Strategy 2017 - How to build your brand and get followers!

14:53
Need a social media strategy to build your business or brand? See our step by step guide on how to establish your social media presence using content, sharing, and Facebook ads. New to the whole social media thing? That's okay! In this episode, we start with the basics and an easy to follow plan to get you started in building your brand. Social media can be very intimidating at first. Sure, you use it for your personal life, but when it comes to business, it's a whole new game. The first thing we lay out is getting consistent handles on each network like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. This will be important to your brand like a domain for your website. Next, we talk about which social media network you should join. So, which social network is best? That depends on what content you are going to create. If you prefer visuals like videos and photos, some networks are better for that than others. Speaking of content, what should you make? Are you a great writer, love taking photos, or a video buff? Whichever you feel your best at, that's where you should start. Creating consistent content is key for social media strategy, so if you are best writing blogs, start there! So how to you get followers? First thing, share with your sphere. That would be family and friends. Ask them to like and share your content and pages. There is a good chance they will share with their friends, spreading your content organically. It seems like a no-brainer, but people don't want to spam their friends and avoid it. Don't be scared to let people know what you are up to. You never know, you may get business early on from your personal sphere. To help grow your audience, you're going to do Facebook ads. Do facebook ads work? You bet they do. It's the best way for a business starting out to get their name out. In this video, we show the "reach" campaign you should be running to start. How much to spend on a Facebook ad? We start small, don't go crazy. The best thing you are getting back from your first ads is data. Find out who your audience is. Men or women, age group, maybe location. The numbers will tell you. It will also show which content works best for each demographic. This is the basis for your social media strategy. Like anything else, it takes work. But it will continue to grow if you keep up this plan. And remember, engagement is key! Engage with your audience when they comment or like your content, that's key to keep your followers. Thanks for watching our first episode! Marketing Strategy Examples That Won't Fail

03:59
Marketing Strategy Examples http://mediawestpro.funnelizer.com/universal/?t=mse The traditional old school marketing strategies have worked for years for the 2 or maybe even 3% that resonate with pitching family, friends and acquaintances. But as one of the many marketing strategy examples it sucks. Pitching our list of 100 names of family, friends and acquaintances as one of our marketing strategy examples puts most of us in a very uncomfortable position as 25 to 40% of us as biological creatures are somewhat introverted. We as humans tend to run from pain and toward pleasure and that is the big reason why pitching fails and is one of the most stressful of marketing strategy examples. And now you know why most of us as marketers are shut down in 6 to 9 months, even though we believe in marketing from home. This is the big reason why so many of us try company after company, we just won’t give up, because down deep we know it will work. We see the 2 to 3% that succeed and we know we can do it too, but of all the marketing strategy examples shown us up until now, none have worked very well for most of us, until now. Marketing Strategy Examples http://mediawestpro.funnelizer.com/universal/?t=mse Of all the marketing strategy examples; is there one that really works? Well in fact there is one, and I stumbled across it not long ago. It is called attraction marketing and of all the marketing strategy examples out there this is one that I think you will love, I sure do. Let me share with you my story and how it changed my marketing forever. My sponsor was into mail outs, because it worked for him, it didn’t work for me. After spending thousands on mail outs I spent hundreds more on buying garbage leads. And then in desperation knocked on 1000 doors, sold product to two ladies and signed no one up. So what is left after you have sifted through your list of 100 names? I didn’t, but I know many that resort to either stalking malls or hanging out in gas stations, anywhere there are people to pitch. Well how would you like your lead to come to you? How sweet that is. Leads sometimes even phone me wanting help, what a turnaround from old school pitching and the marketing strategy examples I was taught. This system has training on how to market your company and it’s products, using, the latest marketing strategy examples of YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, blogging, article marketing, PPC, etc. and the list goes on. These marketing strategy examples work for everything from a brick and mortar company to a network marketing company and will even help to promote and sell a widget that you sell from home or in a shop. You get a complete system with auto responders and sales funnels all set up and ready to go right out of the box. You can also replace all of the canned content with your own once you learn the system. This is a way to brand yourself and make your system more responsive to your niche. Marketing Strategy Examples http://mediawestpro.funnelizer.com/universal/?t=mse Click on the link in the description, and just below my YouTube video, and move your business to the next level as you employ this as the last marketing strategy examples you will need. Many use this system to generate 60+ leads, day after day, but these results are not typical. 0:20 You are here to get some marketing strategy examples. 0:40 As one of the many marketing strategy examples it sucks. 0:48 Pitching our family, friends & acquaintances as one of our marketing strategy examples, puts most of us in a very uncomfortable position. 1:28 Of all of the marketing strategy examples shown us... 1:37 Of all of the marketing strategy examples is there one that really works. 1:45 Of all the marketing strategy examples out there... 2:33 What a turnaround from the old school marketing strategy examples I was taught. 2:50 These marketing strategy examples work from... 3:21 And move your business to the next level as you employ one of the last marketing strategy examples you will ever need. NYC Marketing Strategy will never be the same thanks to NYC MARKETING PARTNERS!

01:31
How NYC Marketing Strategy will never be the same thanks to NYC MARKETING PARTNERS! http://www.NYCMARKETINGPARTNERS.com Marketing in the 21st Century Presents an entirely new set of Opportunities and Challanges that business owners have no choice but to adapt to if they want to thrive and survie in this Economy.
