Great to see you addressed the Mexican leather work. Leon has great leather products, although few years ago they had like a rough design, nice to see they are refining their approach! Way to go Antonio!
I love these videos for the guys! Nothing says hardcore sexy like boots and your manly swagger! I'm a boots and bag girl myself, Frye is my favorite go to brand for attitude and style! I can't wait for the fall. This video is very helpful and I'm sending it to my son who needs to get out sneakers these tips will help him find his style and texture. Thanks!
***WARNING*** J L Rocha does NOT have any authorized retailers and direct only. In discussions including the CEO I wanted to order two leather jacket sizes unsure which would fit. I also wanted to order a few styles of shoes in 12 & 13 unsure of cut. Any items returned would be store credit only! The jacket sizing charts exclude waist and sleeve sizes and even after asking would not provide the information. Plus sleeve lengths used are non-industry standard. Rather than measuring from center neckline they measure under arm. For example order a short and its 16x34 not 16x26 as they provide. Finally, I get a, "Don't tell us how to run our business." Steer clear of this company, customer service is not a focus...
I was wondering if you had a video on what colours suit different kind of skin tones? Im fairly pale and I was just wondering what colours would suit me best.
By the way, this is one of the best YouTube accounts for tips and tricks on style.
Thank you so much for making these videos!
I love all the videos and they inspired me to improve my style. Thank you.
(This is not the task at head. )
I know that you have said that you have worked in an industrial environment.
Now I work as a Health and Safety Responsible in an Japanese automotive company.
Can you give some advice that would be addressed at the industrial environment for a safety conscious person. (Safety shoes can be included).
Thank you for the videos you have posted. You have been an inspiration.
Yoav Rachman it depends on what timbs u get... I feel like their original style of boot is very chunky, so if go for a slimmer profile boot. I personally have a pair of timberlands Britton hill plain toe boots in dark brown and love them. They're are not dressy, and pretty casual but are still clean and not super chunky. I'd recommend them.
Good video. I like a more casual boot like Redwing 1907's, White's Packers, Nicks logger or a 6 inch suede chukka. These type of boots are built to last with thick leather, Goodyear welt, leather heels and can be resoled and IMO they look great. What's your opinion on trouser length when wearing boots? Do you know the measurement of the black weekend bag you held up at the end of the video. I went to the website but the bag is sold out and no measurements are listed.
Helpful hint on cleaning suede boots and shoes. If you get a smudge on those beautiful boots do not fret. Simply use the eraser on the end of a pencil, rub vigorously to clean them right up. An added benefit is that it fluffs up the suede giving them a fresh appearance. I've used this trick on my Necona cowboy boots that are now 21 years old and they look practically brand new. ;-)
I'm 12 and I have a great interest in boots and I love the Chelsea and western boots. I'm thinking of buying a pair of western boots at Christmas but I'm afraid of what people would think? Because I'm 12 social communism against clothes as a kid is obligatory and I don't wanna be judged imaculously. What should I do? Thanks.
I really love how you show us very elegant clothing, and styles that can make us go from 0 to 100. I've taken you're advice and tops on dressing and I've begun to look at beautiful clothing and caring more about how I look, at the same time it's not that expensive I go to the mall and literally spend 100$ on a nice button up shirt a nice dress pants and a casual shirt, and a pair of jeans I'm young to be dressing like this my mom told me but she loves how I look, and if you feel good, life in general turns for the better! Thank you for your tips and Advice I'll be watching for more tips on how to upgrade my game!
The charcoal Chelsea boots are easily my favourite - I have never been able to find the right colour charcoal, with the right silhouette (the higher cut, slightly narrower opening) - so I've had to rely on lesser quality manufacturers that I wear through in 2 seasons or less..
Hopefully they allow international shipping sometime soon
Greetings from Melbourne, Australia :)
You should not lace up a boot all the way unless you don't go to uneven and hilly ground. It is bad for your health, you know that, but maybe you should be clearer on that.
I love dark brown skinboats with rubbersoul.
-When you care for dark brown skin with conditionerare, shoe Polish and vax you end up with a lot moore so character and life. In contrast to black that just will be completely black and see new out.
Brown will also match with the same Brown prettier when there are various Brown and it is no longer a coincidence.
-dark brown rubber soled boots also works 3/4 of the year. If it's raining or snowing a bit so it doesn't matter, where I live it rains 100 days per year.
-your socks is not visible and the shoe fills the gap between the shoe and pants.
-a little heel on the shoes gives a better posture. Higher lacing gives support to the foot.
Soo agree chucka, chaelsy and high boats are the way to goo.
As far as a type of style, how do you feel about the German jack-boot or the Italian riding-boot? I like the look of the German jack-boot, because it is fashionable and durable with the studded soles and horseshoe heels. The Italian riding boot is amazing, however incredibly expensive ranging around fifteen hundred dollars.
I love your videos they are what I've been missing in my search for a good role model and someone I can look to for style. I appreciate what you have built and put together with RMRS!!
It's a toss up between the 620 Honey Dark Toe boot, and the 290 Calf Skin Chelsea boot since I have a very interchangable wardrobe. Even though everytime I dress casually or even in my suit it always feels that it missing that sudtle but important touch that either one of the boots could add to my style.
Antonio, what kind of belt would you use with suede boots, suede belt, or matching color leather belt?
Btw, I've stayed away from suede because it's so hard to clean, eventually they just don't look as nice and have to get rid if them. They just don't seem to last as long as leather.
Could you do a segment on cleaning suede sometime?
Suede boots are casual, so go for casual belts. If you're not game for colorful casual belts, then probably match your boots with almost the same shade belt, even if it's not suede.
Do you know how to properly clean your suede footwear to make them last longer? There are tons of tutorials on Youtube. Basically, after dry brushing your boot, you "weatherproof" it with special solutions or beeswax to protect it from moisture.
Best of luck, Sir.
OMG, took me such a long time to find out the boots I always wanted were called ''chelsea boots'' lol.
Saw a guy in a navy suit wear them once (cognac brown), almost made me drool on how awesome it looked.
The boots I love Antonio, but the most suitable on for me is the brown suede Chelsea's. First of all, suede is my style and even though I love to show off suede, I always keep them maintained correctly. I'm a 12 year old from England and I love ur videos and your channel, thanks you, Cameron Taylor
Thanks for another great video. I've been following you for a while now, but this is the first time I've posted a comment. Over the last year or so, my job has required me to travel to NYC for work somewhat regularly. Our office is located in Manhattan, and it's been a bit of a wake up call to upgrade my style. By Midwestern standards, I do alright style wise, but I'd love to elevate my style to the next level.
One of the items that I've been admiring from afar are the beautiful Angel Weekend Bags. A classic, beautiful piece of luggage like that would send a much preferred message when traveling, versus my Samsonite rolling bag. When I see the business men in the airport with great luggage, it immediately tells me they care about quality, and that they have tremendous style. Frankly, it exudes class. I would love something like that. It's certainly one of the many items on my style wish list.
Keep up the great work.
I really love the Pepe Utility Jacket. I am a structural engineer and I am often on Construction sites, however i still want to look professional and put together. To mix it up a little I generally always where i fitting pair of slacks with a button down like the norm, however i like to tie my outfits together with a pair of nice dress boots and matching belt. It is something a little different that looks really good but still serves a purpose while on a job site. My problem has been during the Colder Months i struggle with what to wear over my outfits, sport coats are too nice and a twill work jacket seems to dressed down. A a fitted leather Jacket would be perfect and compliment with my leather dress boots. I would love to be selected and it would help my wardrobe tremendously!
That brown leather backpack (I think its called the Noel 100% Calfskin Back Pack) with some medium rugged jeans a grey long sleeve or light weight v neck sweater would look great. Also with a blue white button down and a pair of monks, can't go wrong. I'd love to add that bag to my wardrobe, its a great piece that I know would get a lot of great looks.
Great recommendation on these guys Antonio, stuff looks great!
Great video! I´m 17 years old and has for 2 years tried to build my own wardrobe after your adcices. Just invested in a new pair R:M: Williams, the leatherjacket from the video would match perfectly with them. Keep up the good work!!
damm i am a 17 year old student and i am the only one getting rid of the baggy clothes that every student is wearing but seeing all these awesome clothes for over 500 bucks makes me wanna cry at my wallet
Another great video, thanks Antonio for always being my go-to channel when it comes to dressing and overall lifestyle tips. I currently bought my first pair of Chelsea boots just recently, in black leather, and I think that a black leather jacket like the one in this video would absolutely help complete my wardrobe and also make a great piece to any outfit. I currently own 3 jackets that I have bought over the past 3 years, but so far I have not been able to own a leather jacket due to how pricey it can be for a quality one. I most certainly would put this jacket to great use and would love to see it age over time as I'm sure it would become a daily part of my wardrobe. I feel it is a very versatile item to own, and it's time for me to get one. I am currently serving in the Navy, and during this last year I've been interested more and more in learning how to ride a bike, with less than 16 months left to go before I move back home, I'd love a leather jacket to take out on rides. Thanks!
Been loving your videos ever sense I found your "10 things sharp dressed men never say" video late last year. You have really opened my eyes to what I can become. All be it I was a bit skeptical at first, but wow. Once I started paying attention, bought my first suit and following many of your style "rules" people have noticed and things have really changed for me sense the beginning of this year when I jumped in with both feet. So really wanted to say thank you.
p.s. i have been looking for a leather jacket since its been getting warm and rainy here in Minnesota. The "1320 CLAUDIO BROWN RACER JACKET" is exactly what i have been looking for. The simply yet elegant look that I have based my style on.
Thanks once again
Great video, Antonio. I especially like how you addressed the silhouette aspect of footwear which is often ignored. I like the suede wingtip boots as I don't yet have a nice pair of dress boots and both their color and texture would expand my footwear in the right direction (already have black Oxfords, tan wingtips, burgundy single monk straps, and a pair of brown loafers).
Antonio great video. I work in the construction industry and have moved from out in the field to the office. I travel around the country and go from job site to board room. Keeping the rugged look of the industry and being respected in the board room can be a tough line to walk. The backpack that you presented would be practical and make a great addition to my wardrobe. It is rugged yet classy and would work perfectly for my line of work.
thank you and keep the great videos coming!
Great video Antonio. Thanks for posting. And thanks for putting me on to J.L. Rocha. They have some great stuff. I especially like the leather backpack. Great size as a carry-on and would function well to hold all your gear while leaving your hands free. If you're heading to New York or Paris (or anywhere else) on business it would be a great addition to a casual/professional look. .. Also thanks for showing some love to your fans on youtube who aren't into Facebook. :oP .. All the best.
That difference used to be a huge one, with descriptive names like Snowball and Patches and cat-specific names like Tigger and Tabby dominating the feline arena. Since the year 2000, though, the dog-cat gap has narrowed dramatically. If you look at the top 10 names for male and female cats today, 14 of the 20 are also common human names. For dogs, the number is 15 of 20. The fastest-falling cat name list is packed with names like Whiskers, Tiger and Miss Kitty, while the rising names include Henry, Stella and Zoey. Watch your backs, dogs, the cats are on the move.
Pet Sex Discrimination?
The narrowing cat-dog gap looks like a move toward pet equality, but a new gap is rising -- a gender gap. I was fascinated to see that female pet names are trending human much faster than male pet names. The numbers in the previous paragraph showed that 72.5% of the top pet names are common human names. That turns out to break down to 50% of male names, 95% of female.
Whats more, single-sex pet names are soaring. The fast-falling names are full of unisex classics like Snowball, Lucky, Whiskers, Pepper and Shadow. The fast-rising names names are almost all sex-specific. In fact, for dogs even the hot non -human names are ultra-macho ones like Diesel, Tank and Thor. Apparently, we want to be secure in our dogs masculinity.
Looking Past Looks.
