I understand the distinction between a work boot and a dress boot, but I'm not really sold on the concept of a dress boot. They're not strictly dressy, so you can't really wear them with a suit; they're not especially weather resistant, so you wouldn't wear them in muddy rainy or snowy weather; they're pretty much just more casual footwear, of which I for one already have plenty. I can see the appeal for someone looking for a casual shoe, but can't imagine anyone having more than one pair without seeming affected.
neither of these "men" have ever worked a day in there lives were they actually need boots. neither of them would last a day in logger style boots on the side of a mountain pulling cable. these are fashion shoes not boots
You should probably take that up with the people making the products. Maybe you should buy from companies that stick to their values as a brand and don't cater to every trend that comes along. Sounds like the brands you buy from don't care about you as a customer anymore. Or they just don't need you and the 1 pair of boots you buy from them every year for their craftsmanship and quality when there are 1000 other people that will buy from them when they can make things at half the quality. I'm with you that some companies cut corners and put out inferior products once they develop a reputation. It's shitty but it's definitely not our fault.
why do you snow flakes have to ruin everything. my favorite makers of boots and clothes have turned from durable good stuff to hipster stuff and stopped making things as good as they used to. no Man would be caught dead in a "fashion boot".
I usually spend a little over $200 on a pair of boots every year. The sv2 rockys. They will last through a 9 month deployment as an infantry man and still be good to use after. Hands down the best working boots ever
Just because these all rise above you ankles.....shouldn't make them "boots." I wouldn't classify any of these as a proper boot....c'mon guys quit pushing such hipster shit! Gotta give the "chukka" (desert boot) a little love...but really!?
That’s why you get a cheap pair of boots when the weather is shitty or you’re doing some type of work outside. AKA beater boots. It’s great to have a nice pair of dress boots though on your day off when it’s nice outside, going to friends house, going to a family gathering, etc. I own two pairs of the Thursday Boots and they are incredible. You wouldn’t want to wear a nice button down, well fitted jeans and then have some dirty shitty boots on would you?
I never mentioned....nor do I even wear Red Wings....nice boots though. I'm talking about a boot you don't mind getting dirty, wet and heaven forbid even scuffed....don't see you doing any of that in any of those....save maybe the clarks....again! I feel like you guys know people generally don't classify any of these as boots or you would've put one of them in the thumbnail......and judging by the amount of similar remarks throughout the comments, I'd say a lot of people agree with me! I understand and agree that there's a time and place for a wide variety of shoes/boots....but the video would be A LOT better titled as "best dress boots" "best semi-formal boots" "best preppy hipster shitty boots" (might not want to use that last one hahahaha!) I don't usually troll or feel it worth the time to write on any video's.....but I've come to hope for a little more from you guys is all....hope you're loving life. peace
Quinton Clyde chippewa, redwig, wolverine all make casual boots dude.........look up chipewa apache gq, and wolverine 1000 mile..........I've bought mine under $250........ Jack Erwin and Allen edmonds seconds for dress boots for under $250..............and all boots mentioned are goodyear welted
I got here through Alpha M, I checked your youtube to my surprise I see you did a video about boots like 3 days ago. Yesterday I recorded a video on handcrafted leather boots. Hope you guys do well with your channel! May they find insight from all of us youtubers! Cheers!
those shoes are made in the fucking 1th world countries. You know what you're spending your money on? labour, minimum wages. A machine and some tiny chineze hands could make a shoe and sell it for 50 bucks. Decent shoe, looks good, if it breaks, buy a new one for the next couple of years
Great video guys! I just wanted to know if you maybe make the same type of video but this time it revolves around loafers - penny loafers, tassel loafers etc. As I'm currently trying to find a pair but struggling. If not a video then maybe reply with some suggestions.
p.s. this can maybe be a series on your channel
Theyre not earthkeepers.
Gent's Lougne.. it's pretty moronic and inconvenient to keep showing boots and not say what they are.
You did it with the Bed Stu in this video. You did it with the Aldo in the last video. And now you have someone confused by your misused thumbnail, and asking what they are, and you reply "Aldo". Thanks
Maybe next time just say the model. Stop giving us links that will stop working in a few months. It's easy to find these on ebay at a later time if we know the model. Not a dead link
Fellas, that Taft company has amazing boots!! Gosh, I should contact my Hispanic family over there lol. Thursday boots look amazing as well. I'm a huge fan of boots for sure. Thanks for sharing guys. Love the video 👍🏻👍🏻
Aware of the Thursday boots' quality. The rare area of the heel will fade very easily. I tried to put some AE lotion to cover the entire boots and the brown color fade and then dye to other parts of the boots and the rug that I used to apply the leather lotion.
That difference used to be a huge one, with descriptive names like Snowball and Patches and cat-specific names like Tigger and Tabby dominating the feline arena. Since the year 2000, though, the dog-cat gap has narrowed dramatically. If you look at the top 10 names for male and female cats today, 14 of the 20 are also common human names. For dogs, the number is 15 of 20. The fastest-falling cat name list is packed with names like Whiskers, Tiger and Miss Kitty, while the rising names include Henry, Stella and Zoey. Watch your backs, dogs, the cats are on the move.
Pet Sex Discrimination?
The narrowing cat-dog gap looks like a move toward pet equality, but a new gap is rising -- a gender gap. I was fascinated to see that female pet names are trending human much faster than male pet names. The numbers in the previous paragraph showed that 72.5% of the top pet names are common human names. That turns out to break down to 50% of male names, 95% of female.
Whats more, single-sex pet names are soaring. The fast-falling names are full of unisex classics like Snowball, Lucky, Whiskers, Pepper and Shadow. The fast-rising names names are almost all sex-specific. In fact, for dogs even the hot non -human names are ultra-macho ones like Diesel, Tank and Thor. Apparently, we want to be secure in our dogs masculinity.
Looking Past Looks.
